IDEA partners with Faxinating Solutions, Inc. to facilitate EDI document exchange
Feature provides EDI solution for facsimile documents
Arlington, VA– September 13, 2007 – IDEA, an eCommerce service provider for the supply network industry, today announced their partnership with data integration and translation specialists, Faxinating Solutions, Inc.
This partnership will add a new and beneficial feature to the Industry Data Exchange (IDX), IDEA’s business document exchange tool, giving users the ability to turn facsimile documents into electronic data interchange (EDI) ready documents. EDI is a format that many companies in the supply network are progressively demanding from their trading partners.
The initial offering will allow customers to fax purchase orders and invoices through a Faxinating Solutions routing system which converts this documentation into an EDI format – done through Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Templates will be provided to customers to ensure a readable clarity with the appropriate data fields for direct input into IDX.
As the need grows, subsequent document and/or transaction types may be offered through this method with Faxinating Solutions.
IDEA will brand this partnership under its Software as a Service offering, the first of this kind.

IDEA announces corporate rebranding
eCommerce service provider launches new look and tools for industry
Arlington, VA - September 19, 2007 - IDEA, an eCommerce service provider, today announced the completion of its corporate rebranding efforts; including a redesign of its flagship website: idea-esolutions.com. The changes are effective immediately, and, while the company will continue to operate under the legal name Industry Data Exchange Association, Inc., all future business activity shall refer to the company as IDEA.
The announcement caps off a year of substantial growth and change for IDEA. The initiative is accompanied by a new suite of corporate logos, visual identity and tagline: eCommerce. One-stop. Non-stop. IDEA will continue to build on its position as an industry leader in providing complete eCommerce solutions for the supply network.
Visitors to the revamped website will notice clearer navigation, better online tools, improved functionality, IDEA Live Chat, on-demand videos, fewer downloads and more news resources.
IDEA also introduced two additional standalone sites. The customer portal, www.myIDEAportal.net, is a password protected site providing secure and direct access to Industry Data Warehouse (IDW), Industry Data Exchange (IDX) and Industry Retail Database (IRD). The site also features IDEA Live Chat, public and private access to product support and training materials, Standards knowledge base and the ability to create support cases. This site will undergo beta testing through November 2007.
IDEA will debut www.idea-ebizforum.com in early 2008. This site is dedicated to the company's annual eBusiness event and will provide for easier functionality for potential attendees, exhibitors, sponsors and participants.
The rebranding will yield growth opportunities as IDEA continues to expand the scope of its product offerings across the supply network spectrum.
"We wanted to create a cohesive and complete package that will allow us to retain the goodwill we have earned with our customers and partners. We hope the new look emphasizes our dedicated approach to providing solutions that increase company efficiencies," said Mike Rioux, president, IDEA.
