Richard Buzun Award Reminder – Nominations Due Next Week
Time is running out to nominate your company for the only B2B eCommerce Award in the electrical supply chain. Nominations for the Richard Buzun Award for Leadership and Innovation in eCommerce are due Friday, August 13th. Past award winners include: Graybar, Leviton, OSRAM SYLVANIA, Rockwell Automation, Van Meter Industrial and Viking Electric Supply. The award annually recognizes both a manufacturer and distributor company for successfully implementing and promoting eCommerce initiatives.
Award criteria includes:
- B2B eCommerce (e.g. EDI usage)
- Data Management and Data Synchronization
- Standards Adoption
- Website Capabilities
Please nominate your company for the award by completing the 2010 Nomination Form. The winners will be notified two weeks before the Forum and recognized on stage during the general sessions in Dallas, TX at IDEA’s E-Biz Forum on September 22nd. In addition to the industry recognition, winners receive a speaking opportunity at the 2011 Forum.

Create Your Personal Forum Experience
You can create a personalized 2010 E-Biz Forum experience by scheduling a one-on-one consultation with an IDEA Account Manager and by providing feedback and suggestions using the IDEA user group and training survey.
To schedule personal consulting time, please contact your account manager directly or email . Please include the subject line “Forum Account Manager Consultation,” the time(s) you are available throughout the event (preferably during breaks), and the specific topics you’d like to discuss. These complimentary consulting hours will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis.
To help create the IDEA user group and training agenda, please take the short IDEA User Group and Training Survey to tell us what you’d like to learn. This quick survey will help us customize our training and personalize your Forum experience.

New B2B eCommerce and Synchronization Customers
New IDX Customer
Midland Medical, a medical distributor from Lincoln, Nebraska, became an Industry Data Exchange (IDX) customer on July 30, 2010. For over 30 years, Midland Medical has been a strong force in the medical and surgical product distribution business, priding themselves on their comprehensive and service-oriented presence in Nebraska, South Dakota, Kansas, Iowa, Colorado and Wyoming. They will be taking advantage of the cost savings and reliability of IDX to exchange B2B documents. Midland is a proud member of Independent Medical Co-Op (IMCO). Welcome!
New IRD CERICOMX® Customers
IDEA, a 1SYNC Data Pool On-Board Solution (OBS) partner, implements suppliers that subscribe to the 1SYNC data pool using IDEA's IRD CERICOMX® application. IDEA was recently assigned 12 suppliers:
- Allied Rich
- County Meat Packers of Florence, MS
- CTI Industries Corp
- Jobar Internatioal
- Kolder, Inc
- LighterMate
- One World Foods
- Palmer Candy
- Savignano Foods
- Udi’s Healthy Foods
- Williamsburg Food
- Zibra, LLC
These companies will be trained to use IRD CERICOMX®, an online catalog that suppliers use to register product data with the GS1 Registry® and GDSN via the 1SYNC Data Pool. Suppliers also use this solution to publish product data to demand partners including retailers like Lowe’s and Walmart.
