• In today’s competitive environment, e-commerce provides numerous opportunities for manufacturers and distributors to significantly reduce supply chain costs while increasing the speed and accuracy of transactions. The advantages of such procedures include a reduction in paper processing, quicker access to information and improved order accuracy. With so much going on in this active data highway, several members of IMARK’s new Technology Committee and representatives of industry service providers Trade Service and IDEA shared their perspectives on current and future trends in e-commerce and electronic data interchange (EDI) within the electrical distribution industry, as well as how IMARK members can invest in technology to capitalize on opportunities for growth and enhanced efficiency.
